Job Description/Requirements:

We are currently seeking a field inspector to join and contribute to our Inspection team. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to Manager, NDT & Inspection Services and will be based at our Grande Prairie Office. This is a field position, with light to medium travel required. There are plenty of opportunities for career development for the right candidate in this position.

Responsibilities
• Calibration & Set Up of UT Thickness Scope
• Performing UT corrosion surveys
• Writing Field Inspection & Activity Reports
• Assisting Intermediate/Senior API inspectors performing Visual Inspections

Required Certification and Experience:
• CGSB UT Level 1 or 2
• CGSB MT Level 2
• Candidates with API experience preferred
• Valid Driver’s License, Clean Drivers Record
• Ability to work in various temperature & climate conditions
• Travel for multiple days at a time may be required

The successful candidate will have:
• 2+ years NDT field experience
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Strong team attitude with commitment to customer service
• Ability to read, interpret, and produce simple drafting documents
• Computer skills considered an asset

• Perform NDT inspections on aircraft and of aerospace components
• Evaluate NDT results and produce required reports
• Read and interpret testing procedures and technical drawings
• Perform and maintain daily shop inspections and other tasks as required.

Requirements & Credentials
• Hold at least two CGSB certifications in both eddy current and ultrasonic testing and preferably one or both in magnetic particle and penetrant inspection.

This Company, is currently seeking for a well-rounded and experienced NDT Inspector (unionized).

The position is full-time, and currently scheduled on weekend shift: Fri/Sat/Sun 5:45am-6:15pm, 36 work hours, and the Company will be compensating for 40 hours.

Education & Certifications
•Post-secondary education
•College; Technical school (an asset)
•NAS-410 or CGSB/ASNT Level 2 in the following: NDT methods:

MT (Wet, Continuous/Residual)
PT (Fluorescent)
RT (an asset)

Experience
5-7 years in similar position in metals fabrication industry (aerospace sector is preferred)

Duties and Responsibilities
•Work independently to written instructions issued by the Responsible NDT Level 3 and in accordance with production schedules issued by NDT production supervisor
•Process production parts per applicable NDT techniques and work instructions
•Inspect parts and provide final results in accordance with acceptance criteria specified in inspection sheets. Identify found defects by type, size and location.
•Conduct all necessary NDT system calibrations and tests
•Record and maintain all necessary documentation pertained to NDT inspection

Remuneration: $21-$30/ hour

Corporate office in Calgary, Alberta, Canada but positions are throughout North America with frequent travel required. CGSB UT Level 2 required with minimum 2 years’ experience.
