We are expanding and require UT trainees as well as CGSB certified UT level 1 & 2. Additional NDE certs are an asset.

- As a minimum, must have completed formal UT training at an accredited organization.
- Knowledge and experience in the upstream oil & gas industry preferred.
- Experience with MS Office a plus.
- Experience with Adobe illustrator a plus.
- Must be willing to travel and work away for extended periods (usually less than 10 days).
- Clean driving abstract.
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
- H2S, Confined Space, First Aid, Fall Arrest, and WHMIS training required.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This is an excellent opportunity for those with strong NDT experience with castings. The candidate will be positioned on-site, working Monday to Friday (day-shift) for 40 hours per week. Overtime and working weekends will occasionally be required. Salary commensurate with experience and industry standards. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Actively engaging in the NDT of aluminum bronze and steel castings (inspection, interpretation, and evaluation of material discontinuities) as dictated per procedures/specifications and acceptance criteria, using the methods of LPI, MPI, and UT
• Any additional duties as assigned by the QA Manager

EDUCATION, TRAINING & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
• Current CAN/CGSB-48.9712 certified Level 2 in the methods of LPI and MPI, and Level 1 or 2 in UT
• Interpretation of RT film and reports, PMI, and any Level 3 certifications in any of the above methods considered an asset
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong computer literacy (Windows and Microsoft Office Suite)

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
• Ensuring that all NDE is carried out in accordance with all current Codes and Laws
• Qualifying and maintaining personnel to the latest codes (ASNT TC 1A)(CGSB)
• Ensuring equipment is calibrated
• Providing instruction to NDE technicians by on-the-job training
• Continuously upgrading Certification in NDE
• Maintaining all licenses for: Isotopes (C.N.S.C.), X-Ray equipment (ON Department of Labour)
• Preparing all quotations and billings on subcontracted NDE work
• Taking initiative to fulfill the general objectives of this position although such steps may not be mentioned in the job description; In the event of uncertainties, he/she shall report to the QA/QC Director.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• College graduate and/or certified as a Level 2 or 3 in Radiography, Ultrasonic, Liquid Penetrant and Magnetic Particle and National Resources Canada CGSB
• Have at least 10 years’ experience in related field
• Have 10 years of experience in Fabrication and Manufacturing
• PMI, CWB, CWI and AWS certifications are considered an asset
