Job Description/Requirements:

INSPECTOR LEVEL A (multiple openings)
Hourly rate of pay:  $34.19
 
Primary Function:
 
To perform all tasks of an Inspector Level A and to conduct non-destructive examinations.
 
Tasks:
 
- Perform NDE in all areas of the Shop.
- Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures.
- Create inspection reports, maintain and file documentation.
- Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
- Communicate effectively with internal team members (eg., peers, production leadership, project management, engineering) as well as customer representatives.
- Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety and environmental guidelines/regulations.
- Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.
 
Qualifications:
 
Must possess 1 of the following 10:
RT Level 2 or
UT Level 2 or
RT Level 1 or
UT Level 1 or
MT Level 2 or
PT Level 2 or
5 years fabrication/machining inspector experience or
Certified Welding Inspector or
5 years fitting/welding experience.

- Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in nuclear power-related industry.
- Proficiency with computer software.
- Available to work “off shifts”.

• 5 years fabrication/machining inspector experience or
• Certified Welding Inspector or
• 5 years fitting/welding experience

OR, INSTEAD OF THE ABOVE:
Must possess 3 of the 10 listed above, one of which MUST be either MT Level 2 or PT Level 2.

Hourly Rate: $39.00

Job Description/Requirements:

Responsibilities: 
 
• Perform quality control duties on projects / sites including:
• Perform monitoring of processes via MITPs.
• Ensure procedures are adhered to during project execution.
• Perform NDE related responsibilities on projects.
• Perform material receipt and in-process inspections to ensure compliance to BWXT standards.
• Assist with the review and completion of Work Packages.
• Assist with procedure and MITP reviews.
 
Qualifications:
 
• Post-secondary NDE / Quality Technologist diploma or related education.
• CGSB Liquid Penetrant Level 2 Certification.
• CGSB Level 2 Certification in other NDE methods would be an asset.
• CWB Level 1 or 2 Certification would be an asset.
• Extensive site work/travel (up to 70%).
• A NDE background with a solid knowledge of all NDE process is an asset.
• Familiar with the ASME Code would be an asset.
• Comfortable working in confined space situations.
• Comfortable working in a radiation environment.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and Statutory Holidays.
• Willing to work in excess of 70 hours per week.
• Must be able to work independently or in a group atmosphere.
