Job Description/Requirements:

Job Purpose: Maintain inventory by checking equipment before and after rentals; troubleshooting problems; calibrating; cleaning equipment as needed, maintaining workstation and shop area.

Job Duties:
• Work under the direction of the Branch Manager to ensure that all job duties are met with quality and integrity.
• Maintain equipment inventory by verifying asset management software (FLEX), inventory spreadsheet and modifying activity logs (shipping & receiving) as needed.
• Calibration of equipment per manufactures specifications.
• Process all equipment orders in and out by verifying that equipment is working properly, clean and completing all required documentation for each rental. Upon return, equipment is to be inspected immediately for any missing or damaged equipment and properly logged and received in.
• Ship and receive equipment as necessary by use of Will Call, Purolator, FedEx, UPS, or other shipping companies as needed.
• Maintain, repair and clean all equipment as needed.
• Answer phones and assist customer requests, order processing, order entry and routing customer calls to the appropriate department.
• Provides technical support to clients by troubleshooting equipment problems; researching answers; guiding client through corrective action.
• Maintain and organize work station and shop area on a daily basis.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading equipment manuals and applying book knowledge to hands on experience. Participate in the Insperity database educational portal when asked.
• Create and maintain a data base for equipment parts and accessory documentation.
• Work shift will be between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm to complete an eight-hour work shift.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently


A technical/mechanical aptitude for the purpose of; Problem solving, electronic testing and trouble shooting skills, able to use a volt meter and oscilloscope, phone skills, customer service, quality focus, PC proficiency, strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, excellent interpersonal communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Gain knowledge for the Non-Destructive Testing, Remote Visual Inspection and Environmental marketplace. A willingness and ability to work unsupervised and take initiative to be “Best in Class” would be expected.
- College diploma in any electrical or mechanical programs an asset
- Knowledge of Non-destructive techniques big asset
- Ability to use various social media platforms for marketing and sales, especially LinkedIn
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or any other computer program related to engineering, drawing, 3D modelling and photogrammetry is a plus.
